W(h)ales Weekend

On one of my first nights here I happened to befriend a British student, Robyn, who lives at Harrow. After the exchange of common interests and a few tequila shots, I realized this was a good friend to have. She invited me the next night to meet her flat mates and friends, who immediately reminded me of my own friends from home. They are entertaining and witty, and I found myself laughing the entire night. After another night of hanging out with them Robyn invited me on a trip to Wales for the weekend and I accepted.

I didn't realize I was going to Wales (Robyn just said Cardiff) until we crossed the boarder and the Megabus driver made the announcement. I also didn't realize we were going to Wales to "work", aka to do some filming and photography for a movie Robyn is making about rollerdurby. Either way I was so happy to be accepted and asked to help out, plus we got awesome press passes and people thought we were important. Overall the weekend was full of partying, rollerskating, and foreign people. Cardiff was pretty much the equivalent of a US college town campus, but with cobble stones streets and a huge castle in the middle. The decisions to go was completely spontaneous, but in the end it was a weekend I will never forget. Here is a very small taste of pictures from the weekend:
